This movie is a corny, goofy parody of recent (read 80s-90s) horror franchises and icons, much in the vein of Zucker Bros movies. So, typical in that style as many gags miss as hit (this is, though, clearly the most fun Leslie Neilsen has had making a movie in 15 years). What impressed me were the small attentions to detail, i.e. a bar is named Carpenters, but that is in the background of a shot, not thrown in your face, and the Uncle Sam at a karaoke sign up board looks far too much like the one from the crappy horror movie of the same name to be coincidental. I had fun watching this one, whether everyone else seems to  hate it or not. 3 stars
